01 / THE SERVICE
Canopies by Dreams, made in Ajman.
A canopy differs from a pergola in how it is used: it usually projects from a building over an entrance, walkway or drop-off point, rather than standing freestanding over a seating area. We build the aluminium frame and glass or solid roof panel to project the right distance and shed rainwater away from doors and windows below.
We have fabricated canopies for villa entrances and shopfronts, and as part of larger project scopes, including a canopy delivered alongside structural glazing and a skylight for CIM Steel Industries in Umm Al Quwain. The frame is built and finished in our Ajman workshop, then fixed back to the building structure during installation.

- Toughened glass for a visually light canopy, or solid aluminium panels for full shade.

- Aluminium flashing where the canopy meets the building wall, to direct water away from the facade.
