Structural glazing uses structural silicone to bond glass panels to a hidden aluminium frame, so the facade shows glass from edge to edge with little or no visible metal on the outside. It is used where a building wants a clean, modern glass line rather than the grid look of a standard window wall. Dreams designs, fabricates and fits structural glazing from our own workshop in Ajman Industrial Area 1.
Because the glass is structurally bonded rather than mechanically clamped on show, the silicone joint, glass thickness and frame have to be sized correctly for wind and thermal load. We supplied structural glazing as part of the facade package for CIM Steel Industries in Umm Al Quwain, and take on structural glazing for offices and commercial buildings across Ajman, Sharjah, Dubai and the rest of the UAE.
